Meditation/Visualization/Pranayama
These techniques can be used individually or in conjunction with a yoga practice. Meditation is used to calm the mind, lower the heart rate and improve overall health and well-being. More importantly, meditation brings us into awareness, the starting point for addressing psychological difficulties
Visualization can be used in meditation to facilitate the manifestation of dreams and goals. It can also be utilized as a means of “letting go” of those things that impede our ability to manifest.
Pranayama, or breathing exercises, are an essential part of a yoga practice. These techniques help to improve restrictive breathing patterns that can lead to a variety of physical and emotional health problems. Many of us are not even aware of how we hold our breath and by engaging in this practice, we expand our self awareness and have access to issues associated with this kind of restriction, particularly anxiety.
